Victim Advocates
To reach a victim advocate, call 405-564-2129 or email advocate@okstate.edu. Victim advocates are available Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A 24hr help line is available through Wing of Hope at 405-624-3020.
The university treats the Victim Advocates as a confidential reporting option. Victims can visit with a victim advocate to learn about resources available on campus. A Victim Advocate is not required to report any information about an incident to the Title IX Coordinator without a victim’s permission. However, the victim advocate will report incidents, without personally identifiable information, to OSU Police for the purpose of the Clery Act.
The Board of Regents for Oklahoma State University and the Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges provides monetary support for the Victim Advocates in their important work to support students seeking advocacy assistance. The Victim Advocates report quarterly to the Board of Regents on statistical trends of incidents.

Irissa Baxter, MA
Coordinator of Womens and LGBTQ Affairs

Irissa Baxter is currently the Coordinator of Womens and LGBTQ Affairs, housed in the Office of Multicultural Affairs here at OSU. She is a member of the LGBTQ community and her academic and professional experience focuses on gender, sexuality, and systems of oppression. She is a Tulsa native and strives to provide compassionate, thoughtful, and nonjudgmental advocacy to any and all students seeking her support here at OSU.
Jovette Dew, PhD
Assistant Vice President, Institutional Diversity

Jovette Dew serves as the Assistant Vice President of Instructional Diversity and Director of Diversity Academic Support/TRIO Programs. Jovette earned her Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management, Masters of Science in Counseling and Student Personnel, and PhD in Educational Psychology, all from Oklahoma State University. She has worked at OSU since 1996. She has a strong desire to see students succeed and this is her driving for coming to work every day.
Rachel Shreffler, MS
Assistant Director, Health and Wellness

Rachel Shreffler serves as the Assistant Director of Health and Wellness in the Human Resources Department, and as an adjunct professor for Health and Human Performance in the College of Education. Rachel earned her Bachelors of Science in Health, Physical Education and Leisure Studies, and Masters of Science in Health Education, both from Oklahoma State University. For more than 20 years she has worked extensively with students, employees, and communities to improve personal and organizational health and well-being at both the state and local level. She has previously served as a Victims Advocate in Liberal, KS.
