Denim Day

Denim Day was a campaign created to spread awareness about consent and sexual violence misconceptions.

Denim Day began after an Italian court repealed a rape case claiming the victim must have consented because of the tightness of her jeans.  After hearing the ruling, women around the world wore jeans in protest of the verdict.

Denim Day has now become a world-wide effort to end sexual assault. To view the full story and more information visit www.denimdayinfo.org.

Virtual Jean Decorating

April 1st-16th

To spread awareness for Denim Day, we will be displaying blue jeans decorated with messaging that challenges misconceptions about sexual violence. We're asking students to submit an idea, design or quote they would like on a pair of jeans. All students who submit a design will earn a free t-shirt and have their submission displayed on Denim Day, at the Student Union Plaza.
